This reminds me of that chapter in Blue Like Jazz where Don Miller has a crush on Emily Dickinson! And he goes to her house and hallucinates that she's sitting on the front steps. I do this ALL the time, a compassionate thought can once pass through a writer's head, and if he expresses it well, i've instantly become enamored for the rest of my life, not realizing that he is probably just as arrogant or neurotic or narcissistic as anyone else.

the words don't really make sense... the two statements don't really tie together very well.

haha, I actually never found the one reference to Eggers that I remembered.
Going to SF on Tuesday and will try to pick up the Letters to Obama book at 826 Valencia. They had some of the kids reading their letters on the Inauguration segment of This American Life.
