downtime
It's my last afternoon at home, and I'm sitting alone in my favorite coffee shop.
My parents drove my brother and his wife to the airport in Santa Barbara, but I have enough of my own traveling to do today, so I stayed home, to run a few last minute errands by my lonesome.
I've been staying in a madhouse for the last few days, which is nothing I complain about, anyways. It's nice to have family around. If I had had my own bedroom to sleep in, I would have slept through the noise of my rowdy cousins, and certainly would've missed out on a lot of early morning fun.
Family christmas was wonderful. My suitcase back home is loaded with heavy cookbooks. And my brother bought me brand new climbing gear. I also got a Bodum french press, a telephoto lens, scrabble slam, and new boots.
I'm truly blessed to live with such comfort and joy.
[deep breath] Next quarter is gonna kill me.

heavy cookbooks!? Awesome. seriously trina...this quarter might kill me too. i slept in our house alone last night. i left the lights on so robbers would think i was actually awake and that i would be alert and vicious if they tried to come get me. anyway, i'm sure i'd sleep so much better if my roomies were home. love you trina, hurry it up.
are you pretty busy next quarter and i'm never going to see you?! we should study together! and i'm going to be making a lot more coffee :) love you Em. i'll see you soon.
